Time to start saving some of these!
Yeah, so I’m going to focus more on budgeting and making the most out of my money. I guess by doing, and posting.. people can learn how I plan on paying off debt (read “bad options buying”) and over-all sticking to a budget.
The first thing that I’m going to do is take out the money I plan on spending for the entire 2 week period after paycheck. I’m also going to take my debit card out of my wallet. I will leave my mastercard there since it’s used in emergencies and I rarely use that for anything but larger purchases anyhow.
So yeah.. starting next week, I’m going to transfer my 1/2 mortgage payment out and into another account (slightly more than the mortgage amount so I save a bit there.. $30 or so each month) and also going to take out the amount I have allocated myself for the 2 weeks. Everything else is going towards bill paying, and loan payments. Using this strategy, I will be able to maximize my loan payments, and also learn about budgeting and not saying “Yeah I’m IN!” to every poker game that comes up.
