Well, I’m sure I’ll get criticized for not doing my research and sticking to the ‘rules’ he lays out, but I’m thinking that unless I go with the SMS alerts ($10 more for Canadians).. TimAlerts are going to be pretty much useless to me.
Reason being, by the time I got the email.. reserved shares.. and made the trade.. I was way behind his entry and likely many others.
Take a look at the price action.. and when I got the TimAlert:
This is when I received the email..
I then opened up a support request (which I realize I could/should have done pre-open) was 5 minutes later.. at 4:51 pm.
Price action of GROW during that time.. the cross-hair is exactly when I would have recieved the TimAlert in my email.

And since I was filled at 8.60.. well.. this has been a losing trade since I made it.
So upon open on June 3rd, he covered at 8.65 at 10:38am (when I recieved it here.. remember I am EST+1), which was ABOVE my entry price.. DOH!
Fortunately.. I still don’t like the chart and think I’m going to make some money on it, but my point to this post is that you have to be QUICK if you want to take advantage of TimAlerts via email. Having said that.. look at the hourly chart here:
I still think any bad day on this one and it’s going to crash back down to at least the $8 level. So I’ll hold my small amount of shares until that happens.
The NEXT TimAlert I decided to skip as I didn’t want to put any more action out there until my buy/write trade on LYG is profitable.. but it was another loser as he shorted SYMX at $1.11 at 3:12 PM and then quickly covered 6 minutes later at $1.21 to avoid holding overnight.
The 1min chart on this during this time is as follow:
You can see where he shorted it at 2:15 EST and it dropped to about 1.07.. but then quickly went back up to 1.20… didn’t want to hold it as mentioned.. but if today ends up dropping in the red, I’m sure this trade could be a profitable one as well.
I guess you have to be super quick with these Tim Alerts as that was pretty much a 5 minute time-frame to make money.
Will keep tracking them.. its’ easy to point out flaws, but since I started.. both Alerts have been fair at best.
