My brother told me about this, and I’ve since used it 3 times.. and all 3 times I can honestly say it worked great.. I lit them.. sat around and watched as there were fewer and fewer mosquitos around. There were still some around, but they didn’t seem to bite. Odd. Anyhow, seeing that it’s especially bad this time of year.. I think it’s a great tip.
Did you know that egg crates and coffee trays will slow burn? They actually smell just like those old mosquito coils.. except.. well.. they’re free (well.. you have to buy the coffees and the eggs.. but still).. and the best part is.. they last a long time.. over an hour for a full egg carton I’d say.
So all you have to do, is light it.. and blow it out if it flames up.. then it will just smolder and smoke.. keeping the mosquitos away. Don’t believe me? Well.. I don’t know what to tell you.. try it out and let me know how it goes.
Like I say, it worked for me.. hope it works for you too! (I’m now in the process of gathering all the trays and egg cartons I can get my hands on)

Pretty simple tools.. tray, matches.. and something to put the tray on so it doesn't burn the deck!

Tear apart and put in tray...

Light'er up baby - mosquitos be gone!

Just be sure you use the wants made of pressed paper pulp, and not styrofoam ones!
Absolutely!! Wow that would smell bad enough to keep away people too!
Hey if you do this (likely next summer).. then make sure you come back and tell me how it worked
I know that it worked unreal for me.
