As many of you know, I’m a huge supported of the PEI Humane Society.. did you know they get no government support WHATSOEVER?!? What’s the deal with that?? The are a completely privately funded non-profit. Seriously.. the government can pay for a lot of…. ok.. I won’t go into it.. but a lot of worthless things!… and they can’t afford to throw some money at the one place that looks after our beloved Pets? Anyhow.. that’s another rant..
I want to let you know of a few events that are coming up.. which I plan on attending for sure.. they are:
July 18th – Sobeys on the Avenue (Across from Shoppers Drug Mart) – from 1pm to 4pm.. a BBQ!!! Can you say lunch date?? yumm!!
July 19th – PEI Humane Society Open House! From 1pm to 3pm they are going to have an open house at their location in Sherwood.. I know they’ve been doing some updates and renovations.. in fact I know the guy that did a lot of it and from what I’ve heard they’ve done an amazing job! I would also encourage you to do what I do, which is donate your money you get for recyclables to the PEIHS. I mean, it’s money that you’ve already spent.. and really.. is the $5 to $25 you get for them really going to make or break you? I currently have over $50 that I will be donating this weekend, and a lot more recyclables to give as we speak… what can I say.. it’s a great cause and hopefully everyone out there has an adopted pet from a rescue organization.
