Mai Oui! Actually, I don’t know if it’s the French that made this device up.. but do you know what a French Press is? I honestly have for quite some time, or at least ever since one of my first jobs working in a coffee shop at the Delta (formerly the Prince Edward Hotel) in PEI here.
Ok, getting to the point.. I saw in the Canadian Tire flyer that they had one on for $8 (50% off) so I decided to buy one.. and I’m not going to lie.. I have not made a bad cup of coffee yet in it.. it’s amazing! And so easy!
I will admit, that I am probably the worst at making ‘perculated’ coffee.. I don’t know what it is, but I’m just not good at it. I always screw up the portions so it’s either too weak, or too strong. No longer! I’ve used my french press about 3-4 times so far, and every time it’s made a great cup of coffee.. I’m pumped! I can also put in fresh mint if I want, or pretty much anything.
It’s really simple to use too, all you do is take out the ‘press’, add your coffee to the bottom of the container, boil some water and pour it in, then wait 4-5 minutes.. then press down the coffee (generally slowly). It then pours out one heck of a good cup o’ Jo!
For $8.. you can’t go wrong.. specially if you think you could take this sucker camping! I know I will the next time for sure!
