Definitely believe that which you said. Your favourite justification seemed to be on the internet the simplest factor to remember of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people think about concerns that they just don't recognize about. You controlled to hit the nail upon the top and defined out the entire thing without having side effect , folks can take a signal. Will probably be back to get more. Thank you

Hey Sami,

While I would agree that using a stainless steel pad on pans and other items is a one way ticket to throwing things away - stainless steel pots are the exception.. that's what those little buggers are for... here it is almost 3 years later and my pots look as good as new.

At the time I didn't have Barkeepers friend (I do now), so if it does happen again I'll use that and see how it works.. thanks for the comment!

I never ever use a stainless steel pad on my cookware. After getting rid of most of the burn with the detergent trick, I would do a quick scrub out with a little Barkeepers Friend powder and a Dobie scrubber or dishcloth to get that perfect shine back in less than a minute.

I let my paderno pot boil dry by accident. It began to melt on the stove. While yes, it was unattended - I was in the next room and it wasn't on that long (there wasn't a lot of water in the pot). I contacted Paderno, and they quoted me the melting point for aluminum and said "This is not considered a warranty issue, as the pot is left unattended'... I've boiled pots dry before, by accident obviously, never have I seen one turn to liquid!

I love all these coke experiments. Y'all and your dads would get the same results from ANY soda pop. But, noooooo, everyone has to pick on coke.

Hey Wendy!

Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I definitely would NOT use an abrasive to clean the pan - I would seriously try boiling the detergent in it for a long period of time - that really made the biggest difference when this happened to me.

Not sure about the ammonia idea - all I know is what worked for me :-)

Good Luck! Let me know how you get along!
