So Liz and I were doing some Christmas shopping on Wednesday night at Shoppers and since I don’t want to give away what I was buying there, I’ll just quickly say that it was a major purchase (over $100). However, as we were approaching the checkout counter, I had remembered that almost every Saturday Shoppers has a big sale on of some sort.
Usually they give away 20X Optimum points or free gift cards, but they usually give something to reward shoppers that frequent their spot on Saturdays. I’m really not sure why they do this since they usually offer some pretty darn good sale items in their weekly flyer anyhow which would make anyone want to shop at the drug mart.
Actually, now that I think about it.. they really have almost everything at Shoppers and I know that I’ve gone there an numerous occasions (like Sunday evenings when nothing else is open) to get groceries as well. Of course, some of their prices are dated – when I was in walking around Shoppers on Wednesday I noticed that they had a 128mb usb stick on for $29.99 – I mean really? Hell I just checked the buy.com site and found an 8 GIG usb drive on for 9.95 (USD). That’s a HUGE amount more storage for 1/3rd the price.. ya.. so don’t buy that type of tech at Shoppers!
Long story short, it’s time to head out and venture into some stores.. Ciao!
