Excellent Day Of Driving Around

Today was a ‘BEAUTIFUL’ day in PEI. Makes me very anxious to have the summer arrive as the weather Liz and I packed up the hounds and went for a drive out to our beautiful shores. I of course took my camera along and had to snap a few pictures while we were out there. Check out the pictures below:

We were starting to get hungry around 4pm and decided that instead of heading back into town, let’s go further down the road. We headed to Rustico and had a bite to eat at basically a local diner… you know what? It was just an excellent day all around.. came home shortly after and had a nice nap ha ha.. don’t I sound like I’m 80?

Anyhow, one thing that we talked about while we were driving was the new law or “two-tiered” minimum wage that they’re thinking about introducing for employees that make tips. They would make a less amount due to the fact that they make (or should make) cash tips. I have one thing to say about that… “ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND??!”. People need a guaranteed paycheck when they are working, and tips.. are NOT guaranteed. Yes, most likely when it’s busy they’re going to make some good tips depending on the job, but do you REALLY think that the extra buck or two an hour is going to kill the businesses or owners? If this passes through legislation I swear to god I’ll recommend everyone go do  a Jacksonville job search or Orlando, or hell even Nova Scotia or something. That’s just idiotic. There are other ways that these restaurant owners can make up that extra couple of bucks that they pay their hard working employees, why not try that first? They say that good help is hard to find.. and that’s SO true.. just ask any of the major employers around Charlottetown, you think paying people less is going to help that out? Sheesh.

Ok, I’m still having a great day.. and I think I’m going to chime off here as I don’t have a lot of material to yak on about.. and it’s Saturday night. Have a great weekend people!
