Making people happy is addicting. What is more addicting is if one of those people is yourself. That sounds really cheesy and I’ll admit it, but it’s very true.
In a lot of the financial books I’ve read one of the things that they say which you wouldn’t really expect, is that to become wealthy – you have to be willing to give money away. At the time, I thought they were crazy writing that – it totally makes no sense. I’m trying to KEEP money, not give it away! But call it Karma, call it whatever you want – good things tend to happen to people whom donate to charities.
All I did was simply coordinate some donations, and purchase an item for our PEI Humane Society here.. but it has made me feel GREAT! I did end up donating some myself as well. I just may have to celebrate “boy band style” – only a few people will get that, but it means I’m going to get drunk 
All the donations were enough to purchase a Kuranda bed for homeless animals. The beds certainly aren’t anything like the home theater seating many of us have at home (otherwise known as our recliners), but they are perfect for Shelter.
Update: I received a ‘challenge’ to try to raise enough money for a cat tower as well.. well, we’re only $15 away from that goal!! SWEET!!
