So today was a really fun day, got up (around noon.. thanks for the poker game last night boys! You’d think I had some natural sleep aids or something the way I slept this weekend!) – and decided that since it was really nice out, we’d head back into town today to bring the beagles to the puppy park for a bit and then go in town to do some running around we didn’t get done yesterday.
One of the stores we stopped in was the Bulk Barn. Now most of the times that I head to the bulk barn I think it’s a rip off, and I think for some items that’s most certainly the case. But today, it seemed like everything we bought was cheaper than I remember… a few examples:
- croutons – I bough enough for likely 6 salads or so.. cost me $0.40
- coffee – purchased almost a full-sized Tim Horton’s can of Butter Pecan coffee for about $4.80 (A regular can is about $6 so it’s a bit of savings, but I actually am surprised it was even this close, I figured it would be a lot higher for the flavoured coffee)
- spices – Liz bought a bunch of cocoa, paprika, sea salt, some popcorn seasoning, and all of it came to less then $4 I believe. I think it would be very beneficial to shop there for spices that you don’t need a lot of or perhaps are only going to use once.

So that was today, but what I’m wondering from you folks is…. what do you buy in bulk to save money?

Just also thought I'd mention that they have a $3.00 off your order of $10 at Bulk Barn here.. (that's 2 coffee's!)
