I have been fortunate enough to be contacted by a dog food rep and they have sent me two months supply (actually more than two months, but irrelevant) of dog treats which are meant to freshen breath and control plaque – oh, and taste great too! Why did they send me two? Easy!! I told them that I’d love to have another outside source do the test with me!
That being said, there will be some very simple rules that you’ll have to adhere to in order to be eligible for the contest (again, this is a FREE contest – so what’s a few simple rules right?). The rules will be as follows:
Rules
- you have to be in able to pick up the treats in Charlottetown or Stratford (either that or be willing to pay to ship them wherever you are)
- you will have to report back once a week to report how the treats faired out with your pup
- you have to adhere to the ‘recommended dosage’ of the treats (ie: 2 per day, 5-7 per week, etc)
- you will have to write a small summary at the end of the test to summarize the test
That’s it! Like I say, it’s a free contest and quite a bit of treats as you can see in the picture.
How To Enter
Easy, just leave a comment below and state a reason why you love your dog. What does he/she do that you love about them?
The draw will take place at the end of next week (the 21st of May) and the taste testing will begin the following Monday!!

She can always be depended on for a pick me up no matter how my day went.She is my baby and my best friend.I love when she curls up and snuggles right into me at night.She is the most loyal dog she doesn't leave me side until i get up and start my day,that's when her day starts too.I love the sloppy wet kisses i get when i get home,nothing better than your best friend meeting you at the door so happy to see you again..I love my Dog

My dog Homer loves me unconditionally. No matter what, he is always there. He sleeps on the floor beside my bed even though he has his own comfy bed in another room! He is always happy to see me when I come home and he is a great motivator for me to get out and walk every day.
My Bella is my angel… she always loves being with me and makes me laugh everytime we are together. She loves to snuggle with me even though she would probably love to go playing outside, and when I go in the car, she is right there beside me. She might leave the property and stray a little to far, but a dog whistle always brings her coming running back home… what a sweetie !!
My girl is my best friend and companion. She stays with me when I am sick and is always by my side. She listens to me and is very protective over me…even when hubby tries to hug me she will bark and growl at him since I was her initial owner and took her home from the store. I am glad that I took her home 12 years ago…she is my best friend.

My Dutchess is the most loveable and determined dachshund! After having two back surgeries and now recovering from a herniated disc. She has never shown anything but love to everyone! During her stay at the AVC she even managed to give kisses to the vets as they checked her incision, sutured her back and made her do things that no human would not growl or complain at. To come home from work and say I had a bad day is wiped away when I see her learning to walk again and have nothing but kisses and love for her mom and dad. A small treat to her is like a new car to us.. To bad all us humans couldn't be a little more like them.
Leah I know EXACTLY what you're talking about having my boy Hunter go through two surgeries this winter himself.. never growled once.. sure he's a little lazier (if that's even possible) – but truly remarkable. Thanks for your comment – ENTERED!!

Bailey is my baby…..there is just something about this guy that melts my heart! He is a mixed dog, his mother was a lab x sheppard and the father was a shitzu,. So as you can imagine, he is an odd little fella. But super cute! My favorite thing about Bailey is his hugs! He loves my full attention and I am made well aware of it if he is not getting enough

My wife and I were on the deck 3 summers ago, one day before our wedding anniversary. Two young girls walked by and asked us if we'd like to have a puppy, he was 3 months old at the time. They said if they couldn't find a home for him he was going to the pound the next day, they couldn't keep him because of allergies.
We were happy to take him and he's been a joy to have ever since. He's the most playful, friendliest dog you've ever seen. And if you meet him, and he likes you (he likes everybody), he'll show you all of his toys. He starts bringing them all out and putting them at your feet.

My dog Lucy is one of my closest friends. She has been with me for the last 6 years and I really do feel blessed to have her in my life. A few years ago I was going through a particularly hard time and she'd stay by me, not leaving my side. She'd look at me with those human eyes of hers and I'd feel reassured that we would get through things together. Her eternal optimism never fails to make me smile. Even after 6 years, when we go to the beach, she is convinced she will catch a seagull. Oh to think more like a dog…

My daughter, Michelle who lives in London England was visiting me in Charlottetown a few weeks ago. I have wanted a little dog for compionship for such a long time and since I have recently retired from the Air Force, now was the best time. Michelle went on Kijjii one day and found an eight year old Tibetian Spaniel who apparently was a show dog and registered with CKC. Anyway I was told that the previous owners had tried to breed her and she “did not take” so therefore she was of no use anymore. Thanks to Michelle I have Gracie who is an amazing,sweet little girl. She loves to go for walks, car rides, treats and makes me laugh everyday. I took her into AVC to get spayed and found out she has kidney problems. She has brought so much happiness into my life and I hope I can give as much back to her, depending how long I have with her
