Yeah so I have to apologize to everyone as I haven’t been able to post much in the last week or so. The reason is simple… I’m trying to get caught up on photography jobs! The good news is that I’m doing a great job and thanks to a couple procrastination tips (will create a post on this soon) I’ve been able to get a lot or work done that I’ve been putting off. Not on purpose, it’s just very hard to find the time to sit down and get things done.
Coffee Headaches
So I’m on day 6 of giving up coffee and I have to say that it’s going well. However it wasn’t for
the first few days. It’s odd, you read about what’s to expect to happen when you give up coffee but you sort of think “that doesn’t sound like it would happen to me” – but it did. Day 1 was fine, a little too easy to be honest – perhaps it was my body telling me “you’re not seriously giving up coffee are you?”.
Then day 2 hit.
All day I was so tired that I could barely keep my eyes open, but that was ok, I was expecting a headache that didn’t arrive… until later that evening. It arrived around 6pm on Day 2 and never left until mid Day 3 and it sucked. Once that was over it was the “I’m going to sleep all day” symptoms… Day 4 however, Monday, everything seems normal. Now today… I find things are a little better than normal. Perhaps it’s just me, but I seem more awake now and ready to do things than when I was drinking coffee every morning. Isn’t that weird?
I really can’t explain it – but I do seem more alert and active now (on Day 5, and today 6) than I did when I was drinking coffee. Perhaps that’s an over-exaggeration, but the fact that I took Liz’s bike (it’s a men’s bike – stop picturing it..) and drove it to Sobeys yesterday to get some hamburger buns is something I haven’t done for years.. in fact, I can’t even remember the last time I drove a bike more than a kilometer in recent memory.
So to sum up.. it’s going well, and I’m going to keep at it – they say day 10 is the point where it’s completely out of your system. I don’t have any headaches now and am pretty pumped about sticking with this.
