I have to admit that I’m a bit of a fan of certain props for some of the formal wedding party shots. I guess it’s due to the fact that the first wedding I ever shot, the guys brought along some cool hats (pictured left) which I thought really added to the mood and made for great pictures (way to go Kim & Kenny!)
I’m wondering what else is out there? I know for the guys there are a lot of options (and for the bridesmaids as well) such as cigars, hats, canes, sunglasses – but wondering if you folks have seen other ones either at weddings or in photos you’ve liked? I’ve seen umbrellas used when it wasn’t raining (and of course when it was!).
Just trying to get some creative ideas for weddings in the future, I do like painting a good scene 
Im a big soccer fan (& wannabe player) so when it came to our wedding pictures our photographer suggested making the most of facilities on offer. The resort we were getting married at had a small 5-a-side field turf soccer field.
So we had a number of pictures of me (full kilt) my wife (wedding dress and soccer cleats) and the bridiesmaids/groomsman in various soccer poses with a soccer ball – Penalty kick, Free kick etc.
Those pictures never fail to bring a smile to my face – Of course we made sure we got all the family, formal and romantic one done also and this was just a little bit of fun

It's great when you know what someone is into or the pair are into so that you can kind of tailor some of the photos to that sort of thing. For exactly what you said – after you get or plan to get all the family/formal shots out of the way.. the bride and groom really love those ones and can make a real great photo.
What about tuxedos made to represent their favorite football team. Lets say the Cleveland Browns for example, wow what a great idea for someone to wear an orange tux with, a white ruffled shirt and a brown cumber bund and bow tie to match. HAHAHA You loved it.—J
Ha.. yeah but that was just you.. you didn't share any of the greatness with the rest of the groomsmen.. besides.. we didn't do any fun shots either.. damn your photographer!
