Know Anyone Looking For A Job?

Well this is a first for the my blog, but I figure I’ve got a pretty good readership of smart people here on the Island, so I figure I’ll post it. I recently was contacted with one of those “Do you know anyone looking for a job?” questions and although I don’t personally, perhaps someone out there is.

I don’t know much about the company but it’s called Direct Sales Force, and they are looking to hire a number of [...]

Charlottetown Transit Is Good – But It’s Not There Yet

Today was one of those wonderful days where I literally had nothing on the agenda to do. The best part is that I had actually planned to do nothing … and for the most part, I did a good job of achieving that. A few weeks ago my roommate had decided to move out so over the last few days he’s been moving his things from the room downstairs. Ironically enough, Liz met a new “CFA” (you all watched Regis [...]

We’re Doubling Our Gas Mileage – How We Do It…

Well it wasn’t easy, I’ll give you that.. but I have Liz convinced that we should be car pooling whenever we can since we both work downtown and both generally get off at 5pm. I say generally due to this week of course I’m working 7-4pm and Liz isn’t really that happy about going to work at 7am – but personally, I don’t think it’s a HUGE sacrifice to pay in order to save a LOT of money on Gas. [...]

I’ve Been Putting This Post Off For Awhile – A Cure For Procrastination?

I really wouldn’t consider myself a really big procrastinator – but I would certainly consider myself one of the 75% of people whom think they are. It’s very easy to have things in the back of your mind and just not start them – people like myself sometimes need a kick in the pants to get going – but perhaps there’s a better way?

Procrastination can be defined as basically the deferment of actions or tasks to a later time. A [...]

Do I Need Coffee Yet?

Yeah so I have to apologize to everyone as I haven’t been able to post much in the last week or so. The reason is simple… I’m trying to get caught up on photography jobs! The good news is that I’m doing a great job and thanks to a couple procrastination tips (will create a post on this soon) I’ve been able to get a lot or work done that I’ve been putting off. Not on purpose, it’s just very [...]

Wish Me Luck – Going To Try Giving Up Coffee..

I post a lot about coffee.. I talk about how profitable it must be (seeing the huge amount of coffee shops around town), I blog about how expensive it is, how I save money by making my own, even talked about how we should stop drinking it and instead save some money and drink beer!

Anyhow today – July 14th, I’m going to try to give up my morning coffee. There are a few reasons that I’m thinking about doing this [...]

Why Do I Blog?

I’ve been asked this question a few times already and it seems to me that a lot of people don’t really know why I blog anything or write stuff down so I took a moment to think about this and then decided.. “Well, I’ll blog about why I blog!”.

1. The first and most important reason that I decided to blog is to help people around PEI. There are a number of great bloggers out there such as Peter Rukavina [...]

Hey Downtown Residents… it’s time to move.

I’m not one one to post negative type opinion topics, but since I thought about it.. I’m going to. I’m getting very tired of reading about the downtown (specifically Water St) residents complaining. First it was the Festival of Lights complaints, then it was WinterFest or whatever it was called, then the birds,  concert sites, next up was Tim Banks and his Hotel develop plans, and now the gravel pits?

Man oh man, go buy a house in the country. [...]

Don’t Think About What You’re Missing – Think About What You Have!

People are funny creatures. When it comes to most things, we almost always desire the things we don’t have. Why is that? I really wish I had the answer as I think if people thought about what they had instead of what they didn’t have, a lot of the major problems would go away.

I just finished reading a post over at Canadian Dream: Free at 45 where he wrote about how saving money shouldn’t be like dieting. What [...]

Naturopath – Hokey or Miraculous?

Well a week ago Monday I went to a Naturopath doctor here in Charlottetown. I posted how I was being overwhelmed by allergies and it was driving me nuts. Since that time I’ve both gotten a doctor, and went to the Naturopath doctor.. the doctors appointment isn’t for a few weeks, so I can only speak to what I know so far.

I’ll tell you about my experience at the Health Within Holistic Center here in Charlottetown. First however, I think [...]
